2005 Tiara Yachts 4400 Sovran
Freshwater, Updated Tiara 4400 Sovran.
Tiara Yachts is proud to offer another beautifully designed and constructed yacht - the Sovran 4400. A gelcoat outer layer, high-performance tie-coat quadaxial fiberglass, balsa core, epoxy resin, and vacuum bag technology lay the groundwork for a yacht that's unsurpassed in quality and simple quiet elegance. The long, sweeping deck of the 4400 is constructed with a gelcoat outer layer, hand-laid fiberglass and balsa core with vinylester resin. The beautifully crafted, custom-curved composite windshield is seamlessly integrated with the hardtop of the 4400. Behind the composite windshield, the 4400 incorporates a hinged helm console, with full engine instrumentation and an admiral full double-wide helm seat which is adjustable forward to aft, up and down. Intuitive design plus time-tested placement of gauges, throttles, and controls, ensure that being behind the helm is akin to a ride on cloud nine. The aft of the 4400 offers a standard swim platform, extending the 4400 by an extra 52 inches. This extra space provides room for a personal watercraft, an inflatable dinghy, and / or plenty of room for family and friends to enter and exit the water on an upgraded PlasTeak deck extended swim platform. Rear storage space is built-in and accessed through a hydraulically actuated fiberglass hatch. Belowdecks, the 4400 features plush leather seating, Corian countertops, stainless steel sink, abundant storage. The lounge features a folding birds eye maple / teak table which converts to berth, increasing sleeping accommodations to six. The master stateroom boasts a queen-size pedestal bed, with spring mattress, and storage below. The second stateroom not only comes with two overlapping, bunk style beds. The second stateroom also has its own access to the head.

SCUBA DOO IV is truly a crown jewel vessel that has only been operated in the fresh waters of Lake Michigan since her launch. Lots of manufacturers build quality high-end sport cruisers but only a few reach the standard of engineering and finish consistently attained by Tiara. In the 4400 Sovran (called the 4700 Sovran in 2007-2008), Tiara delivered a yacht of remarkable luxury and design sophistication. The Sovran’s handsome styling is highlighted by her fully integrated hardtop, graceful sheer and slightly reversed transom. Focusing on comfort and function, the posh two-stateroom, two head interior of the Sovran offers a luxurious blend of satin-finished teak woodwork which this vessel has an abundance of prior to a mid-year revision by Tiara that reduced the amount of woodwork (compare to other similar vessels from the 2005 model year). The vessel has modern Corian® countertops and Ultraleather seating. The large salon settee seats five and is served by a birds eye maple table. The salon settee converts to a berth and the owner had a separate mattress made for a more comfortable sleep during those long journeys over multiple days. Each stateroom has an ensuite head, and all original interior light sconces were replaced with high end German LED lighting that can function as red, white or dimmed. In addition, the original sound system and old-style Bose speaker cube speakers were removed for a more modern look. An updated sound bar and sub-woofer were installed including replacement of all 3 TVs onboard. On the top side, an impressive Stidd® helm seat can be raised or lowered electrically for a more comfortable view angle for the captain. An L-lounge is opposite the helm and fore and aft facing seats in the lower cockpit that features two hydraulically operated high/low tables. The extended swim platform is huge and can accommodate a dinghy or PWC. For a truly custom feel and look, the owner installed custom PlasDECK® material in the lower cockpit, lower cockpit tables, swim platform and side steps. In addition, official Tiara bamboo carpet runners were recently installed in the upper cockpit. The exterior of the vessel was updated to include removal of original gold nameplates and replaced with the current, modern chrome look Tiara Yachts logos. In addition, a modern red accent stripe was installed on the hull. At the helm, the captain will have the latest in electronics including updated Raymarine® MFDs, FLIR® nightvision, redundant ICOM® marine radios, KVH®/ TV1 satellite system and matching dome, Fusion® entertainment system, updated carbon fiber look dash panel from Tecnografic, USB charge ports. The immaculate engine room features a pair of Cummins® QSM11 engines that produce 660 hp each. A 10kw Kohler® generator is in the rear of the engine room and has a sound shield. The engine room features a newer Fireboy® fire suppression system. Arid bilge® water removal system was installed.
