PowerBoat Guide had this to say about the Chaparral Signature 300. The Signature 300 is mid-tier family cruiser with a roomy cockpit and an upscale, very comfortable interior. Like many Chaparral cruisers, she’s constructed on a modified-V hull with a solid fiberglass bottom, moderate beam and an integral swim platform. While the Signature’s mid-cabin interior is similar to many other 30-footers, the quality of the hardware, woodwork and upholstery is immediately evident. The roomy aft cabin, with its convertible settee and removable dinette table, is definitely the master stateroom in this boat with far more amenities than the forward berth. The cockpit seats six and includes a double helm seat, a U-shaped settee aft (which converts into a big sun pad), and a wet bar. The aft bench seat can be folded away to free up some cockpit space, and a gas-assist hatch provides easy access to the engine compartment. Additional features include a transom shower, walk through windshield (there are no side decks), cockpit lighting and five opening ports. Among several engine options, twin 260hp Volvo sterndrive gas engines cruise the Signature 300 in the mid to upper 20’s.

The Chaparral Signature 300 is an unforgettable boat. Maybe it's the way the radar arch blends with the Euro-styled deck contours. Maybe it's the tasteful two-tone gelcoat graphics, or the attention to detail. Power options include a variety of twin small-block V-8s. In the cockpit, the rear bench lifts up for full transom access. Standard extras include a full camper canvas package, five opening ports, a fire extinguishing system, trim tabs, cockpit lighting, and a sure-grip wood grain tilt steering wheel. Belowdecks is a home away from home. Buyers can choose from four different combinations of vinyl and cabin fabrics which have been carefully color-coordinated to the exterior graphics option of choice. Scotchgaurd protection makes cleanup of even the headliner a breeze. Six adults can sleep comfortably in a spacious cabin with 6 feet 7 inches of headroom. Thick, plush, 44-ounce carpeting feels luxurious and is designed to last. The head features standup headroom, a demand water sink, and considerable storage. The galley is striking with its sovereign cherry cabinetry and tables. Features include Gibraltar countertops, an AC-DC refrigerator, an electric stove, a trash receptacle, and even a coffee maker. An opening port creates a feeling of airiness in the aft cabin, while lined privacy drapes fold neatly out of the way.
Volvo Penta and Mercruiser engines available.
